Re: Marc Jacob's former law firm hit with record fine

what surprises me is that appealed! The Judge was quite right to throw the whol appeal out and point out they basically deserved more!! The appeal was without merits and by bringing the appeal I think they showed terribly poor judgement - which only underlines the shocking poor judgement they showed...

...........because the Media play a careful game. When they were in France they are wanted and no-one has been charged so they is no prohibtion on naming the child involved. The Media can even justify it as 'helping' to find them. Once an individual has been charged the child involved cannot be iden...

Re: Stuart Hall gets a pathetic 15 months

Now okay, the guy is 83, but how the hell should that matter? The man has admitted 13 offences, with one a 9 year old and still " One count of rape will lie on the court file " whatever that means. So he gets about one month per offence. Personally, I think that is appalling, or am I over...

Re: Barristers

you have got to be pretty ethically immoral to be a defence lawyer havent you. Faced with someone who has pleaded guilty you have to put up some kind of defence, even though the vast majority of us would be thinking, "well just rot in jail then ya sicko perve". Actually no, most defence l...

Re: Abu Qatada - seriously?

last time I looked it was an offence in the UK to plan or incite a terrorist act / violence / hate crime / public disorder ....(I could go on!) If there is evidence that he may have committed an offence of this nature in this country then we should arrest (interview) and charge him so that he can st...

Re: NFL.....The Super-Duper Bowl

Both teams are built in a similar way. Tough (brutal at times) defence is the heart and sole of the team. The season stats show that the Niners have the edge but Baltimore during the season weren't fully healthy. The Niners offence is alot more multi-dimensional than the Raven's offence. I am a 49er...

Re: Dear NRA...

I am not going to tell one country what laws they should have. Many other countrys have weapons more easily available than the US and they don't have people regularly going on mass-murder shoot outs. amongst the political comments though presented as FACTS here are my own: guns are designed for kill...

Re: Court case adjourned.

I look forward to hearing from the Trust as to what happened! I've read the explanation from the administrators and Portpin and the Judge but nothing from the Trust. Just to manage everybody's expectations - unless there is a miraculous agreement reached overnight between the Trust, Portpin and the ...

Re: Good news for UK NFL fans ..

not going in October (not a Rams fan by any means!!) but I am going to the 9ers home opener against Detroit.

The Patriots will mash St Louis. I'd be surprised if the bookies don't make the Lambs a 14 point underdog for that game.
