Right, I think I've turned off everything other than the header and footer ads - plus maybe the occasional one that takes over the page. Hopefully, not too intrusive now. Google ads are a real pain to control!

I think that should have got rid of the new one, where they started embedding ads within posts. Google calls these things "experiments". I THINK I've changed the setting, so that they won't automatically try new experiments. Instead, I believe, they will suggest them and when I'm logged in...

Well, I can't speak for Widders, but Chris_in_la is still going strong. He's in the UK for the first time in years this summer, for my daughter's wedding. I'm sure he'll make a trip to pompey while here. Not so sure about Barnsley though, although we will be passing that way en route to the wedding ...
