Re: FAO Guitar dudes

Yeah I mostly play unplugged. But with fingerpicks. The tone is very bright and clean. It does depend a bit on the strings. I use nanowebs. You have to try it for yourself really if you can find one locally.

Re: FAO Guitar dudes

I like the Ovation Adamas with the carbon fibre top. For finger-picking the notes are just so clear and separate. Ideally I'd like a wider neck to suit my big muscular hands. Maybe if I ask them nicely they'll build me one?

Are you an academic Earl? I wondered where you got your grasp of maths from. I'm not an academic.

Re: OT - The most counter-intuitive result in mathematics

I'd still like to see why 1-(1-1+1-1+1-1....) is not strictly equal to (1-1+1-1+1....) It's a party trick. For any finite value of n, Sn = 1 - 1 + 1 - 1 + 1 ... is either 1 or 0. So 1 - Sn is either 0 or 1, i.e. Sn <> 1 - Sn. It is not reasonable to propose that this suddenly changes when n->infini...
