Re: What they say!

"Ashley Cole getting a lot of stick from the Portsmouth fans today, but that's to be expected when you're playing away from home."

Re: New board layout

Having done a trawl of the members list, I reckon the rankings are based on (roughly) the following. I'm sure Rubi can correct me but as a very rough idea... Collins Mbesuma 1 to 39 Robbie Pethick 40 to 77 John Westwood 78 to 79 Martin Kuhl 80 to 119 Mickey Quinn 120 to 159 Alan Biley 160 to 199 Pau...

Re: Tactics taken from other sports

As the boards resident field hockey player (25 years playing, qualified coach, currently captaining a club side) - I feel probably uniquely qualified to comment on this... I have NEVER played 2-3-5 in field hockey, although I must admit, I have never played at international level, where formations a...

Re: Millwall

Sorry forgive me the new slogan is “no room for racism”. Like to think that even the most hardened of “keep politics out of football crowd” can’t find fault with such a message. They will still try to find fault. Something like: No room for racism? There's no room for anything anymore. This country...

Re: Wage Cap Proposals

How about nationalising all football clubs. The government then controls all of them and distributes the cash (and even the players) as it feels fit. Worked well with the railways :) Replace 'government' with 'league' and you've more or less got yourself the basis of how the NFL is run. Level playi...

Re: Wage Cap Proposals

All I can think of is the long contract, and potentially some dead wood on your books. Who was the player that we'd signed to a contract that would automatically be extended every season we struggled to get rid of. I seem to want to save Ivica Mornar but looking at the season that may have been too...

Re: Corona Virus

I swear I had it at the beginning of January. Was off work due to sickness for the first time in nearly 10 years . I remember on a couple of occasions waking up in the middle of the night unable to get my.breath and was on the verge of taking myself to hospital which I've never thought I needed to ...

Re: v Posh...

Totally agree with you Locky...becoming a grandfather is equal in stature! My beef was the fact he is a professional footballer and has a known season he is required to fulfill his contractual obligations...so, plan for these things!! By the way, did the lady give birth, are congrats in order and i...
