Yep....an interesting post, and I'm pleased that I'm not the only nutter already trying to work out how many points we'll have accumulated by the end of Sept / Oct / Nov etc etc!!
I reckon we'll need around 45 points by Christmas to be in with a real shout come next May.

Re: Walsall BFTG
Now I'm guessing I'll probably be in a minority on this one, but anyway, here goes..... As others have already said, we looked quite lost for long periods of the game on Saturday, with too many players seemingly unsure as to what they were meant to be doing, or what the game plan was......and for me...

Oxford 5 Pompey 5
I can't believe it's 25 years ago since that game!! We looked a class apart for most of the evening.....scoring goals for fun, and coasting at 5-2 with three / four minutes left.....and then PANIC  As I recall, by the end of the season those few minutes had cost us dearly as we finished in 3r...

Re: Not very classy.....
Well, it's done now, and I for one am delighted. To all of us who stepped up to the plate in our Club's hour of need..... we have every right to feel proud of what we achieved. To Mr E and his Family....welcome. Thus far you have shown yourselves to be men of dignity, and have acted professionally t...

Not very classy.....
So, Mark Trapani tweeted that the takeover deal will complete tomorrow (Thursday). If I was Mr E I'd be rather miffed at Mr T, who, as a Board Member is bound by the terms of a confidentiality agreement between the Club and the soon-to-be new Owners. Neither ME or EE have made any mention on their T...

Re: Where will we finish?
Like a lot of others, I reckon we'll end up 8th / 9th / 10th....just 4 or 5 point outside the playoffs, which will be fine. For me, the most important things for the coming season will be: 1 - watching some entertaining footie (not just possession football with nothing to show at the end of it) 2 - ...

Brett Ptman injured...
....well, he must be, I mean before he went into the side against the Rocks, we were scoring 6 a game, he comes in and he only scores twice.....what the hell!! :smt001 Seriously though, looking at the video of the game, he looks sharp and a natural goal scorer, and with the others around him I recko...

Re: Possible goalie incoming..
I was with my Brother-in-law yesterday, who's a ST holder at Brighton..... He reckons the deal's already been done and this lad's on his way to FP next week. Apparently he's 6ft4, and was going to be made Brighton's No 2 for the upcoming season.....but now they're in the Prem, the Club thought that ...

Re: Season Tickets
Coshamwreck.... As I recall the Club ran a scheme whereby ST holders who could not make it to every game (such as myself) could somehow offer their ticket for re-sale to someone like yourself on a game by game basis. I don't know the detail or how it works (maybe others can help) but this might be a...

Re: Season Tickets
Yep.....14,000 ST's in what I still think of as the old 3rd Division is outstanding. I'm not sure that Sheffield Utd even sold that many last year? Whilst this is of course fantastic news for the Club, and great for the cash flow, it does mean that those supporters who, for whatever reason can't buy...

I'm surprised to see that we've let Mr Linganzi go.
OK, he may not have been the best player in Div 1 next season, but as a squad player I think he would have done a decent enough job.
No doubt KJ has a cunning plan which will reveal itself over the coming weeks

Re: John McDonnell....and murder
On the subject of Building Control Inspectors..... Most Local Authorities now outsource this function to private local Consultancy Firms....I know this from personal experience. Of course this opens up the whole debate on whether outsourcing such services is a good or a bad thing? If we want to brin...

John McDonnell....and murder
So, Mr McDonnell, in his capacity as Shadow Chancellor, has decided not to wait for the outcome of the Public enquiry that will determine exactly how the dreadful fire at Grenfell Tower happened....and why it spread so quickly? Instead he has already concluded that it was murder.... http://www.bbc.c...
