Re: Looking ahead to the Championship
Looking at the clubs who'll be in the Championship next season and on the face of it, there are mostly no 'small' clubs except if Luton go down - and hopefully they won't. There are decent sized stadiums. So it'll be interesting to see what the overall difference is between L1 and the Championship. ...

Re: Interview with the Eisners...
Having the set up we have at Portsmouth seems to be the right approach where no-one has overall control, like in the Ferguson era at United or even Redknapp at Pompey. I wasn't aware that it was like that under Redknapp. But it makes sense to me that you have someone with overall responsibility for...

Re: Interview with the Eisners...
A lot of interesting things in there. I particularly like this: “We realised that letting the coaches have full autonomy wasn’t as good a system as having the coach focus on what happens the pitch and a sporting director responsible for player development and a lot of other things,” says Eisner. “On...

Re: Not the top 20 League one
The Portsmouth catchment area should surely in theory put us either in mid Premiership or a regular place in the Championship play offs. But in reality there are many examples of population size not being correlated to a particular league. How on earth are Bradford in League2 or say, Burnley (not f...

Re: Not the top 20 League one
I get the impression we're looking to emulate Brighton to a certain extent - be a well run club with ambition. I've no idea what the details are about Brighton's finances but they announced a profit recently. I agree that the Premiership is a closed shop for winning things and that's very frustratin...

Re: Lincoln City
Trust JM to throw a curved ball be interesting to see how this team shapes up with two key players missing. Pack and Rags absence leaves a big hole but in exchange we’ve got MPH and Tino playing together.Towler has a chance to prove himself. Not sure whether we should call this a weakened team but ...

Re: Looking ahead to the Championship
Being outpaced has definitely caused us problems this season and there's alot more of it in the Championship. We also need more players who are able to recieve the ball with their back to the goal/opponent and turn fast. I think that's one reason why we kept passing backwards in recent games - not e...

Re: Most enduring moment this season
Difficult. Shaughnessy's late goal against Carlisle is one, along with Saydee's first league goal.
But I'll go with the "blue army" chant against Oxford. We've had it since but that one was quite moving.

Re: Wigan
The least hungover will start. I wonder whether Mousinho will give squad players a run out or field the players who have got us over the line. That is drink related problems taken into consideration. Lane was out of it on Radio Solent on Wednesday evening. Couldn't stop giggling :smt030 Maybe we'll...
