RIP Brucie
Well there's a warm tribute. Big mistake, succumbing to age.

Re: Pomp 'n' circumstance - some sad news..

Well, I had an acceptable red in my hand as I read this news. I have raised it to Pomp, even though his posts would drive me mad on occasions! I'm sure they do a decent claret on the other side. Thanks for all the mirth and pomposity, Pomp! (Can't believe he was 80!) Thanks also Lakes for the detect...

Re: Soooo Quiet!!

Agree with your assessment in every detail, Selsey, except give the ref some credit - at least he added 8 minutes extra time for Wycombe's familiar shenanigans. If all the refs did the same, Ainsworth & Co might get the message.

Re: Soooo Quiet!!

What's the Doyle song SB? I couldn't get to the game due to being poor otherwise it would of been three years in a row. Eoin, Eoin-Eoin Eoin-Eoin Eoin Doyle Michael, Michael-Michael Michael-Michael Michael Doyle Eoin, Eoin-Eoin... Well, you get the gist  Cooky rather emotional, almost pleading...

Very enjoyable viewing! Some revealing perspectives of the on-field action compared with the highlights we are usually treated to. Thanks for sharing.

(Shame you missed the Chaplin penalty!)

...and apparently a £5,000 fine for fielding the youth team - the FA should be ashamed  Not the FA competition but the Football League's. There'll be no fine until after Pompey line up on Saturday, as the rule apparently requires at least six players in the starting line-up from the game prec...

Re: Back from the Luton game

Thank you Selsey for an even more comprehensive BFTG than usual! It's not entirely good luck when you get the rub of the green as it sounds we did with our goals today - it seems to be a happy by-product of a successful team and manager. It's been a while since that was us and I'm looking forward to...

Re: Next Sunday

Anyway - I'm right, aren't I? Yes, I think you are. From today's standpoint, next Sunday is the coming Sunday, 16th. However, come Saturday (15th), if someone refers to next Sunday you would assume they mean Sunday 23rd, not tomorrow. So the question is, at what point does "next" Sunday c...
