Re: Michael Eisner tonight
Anyway, I found that second session fascinating. Before I go any further, these are only my views/observations, and I could be completely wrong in my assumptions. However, for me it was blatantly obvious that the board is split, and it felt in an uneasy way. This is something else that could potent...

Re: Michael Eisner tonight
Interestingly, he was unclear on where and how he would make a profit on his investment. He was really making the point that picking a lower level team and then building was more likely to deliver than investing in a current PL team. I was there and this was one thing I picked up on - someone did a...

Re: Bid documents out
Eisner isn't making an offer on a house though. The price is what the price is. He is offering to put £10million on completion of the transaction... But is the guy only going to part with that initial £15millon? Or is he going to prop up the losses (we are already losing money minus player sales). ...

Re: I've been analysing the financials a bit more closely
I'm not looking to make a profit out of my club. When I became a PST member in business terms that was a write off - a grand I never expected to see again. But I had a football club I could still watch. My football club. Albeit in Div 4, again. A lot of the PST members are heads of consortia. Do yo...

Re: I've been analysing the financials a bit more closely
"It is understood by Tornante that the PST will choose to take option A) on behalf of the PST" Why is that understood? Shouldn't the 2,750 PST voters (some influenced by consortia) get to decide that? As per page 20 - "PST cannot distribute profits to its members". The crest thi...

Re: Back from the Morecambe game
Up until the first half yesterday our game this season has been all about passing a lot, trying to create chances and, if we do lose possession, pressing hard to win it back. Yesterday, for me, the pressing part of our game didn't work so well first half - we could blame it on players being tired or...

Thanks fleegie, but as I said it aint just Chrome, it is also... Google Earth, Orange Adventurer, Firefox, MalewareBytes Auto Updates, GPS Tomtom Updates, and a couple of other things. Everthing except Internet Expolrer is unaccessible. Yeah - but in my job I've learnt to try things a step at a time...

I can only suggest clearing cookies within Chrome - and checking that your Proxy / LAN settings under Chrome are "automatically detect". If IE is working then your network's letting you through. Both things will be in settings somewhere - cookies will be under privacy or something like tha...

Re: Trust Statement
I'm a tad concerned that this Thread continues to drag on, with the conspiracy theorists grumbling and demanding that LiT discloses his sources - it ain't going to happen. The reason that LiT has the 'ear' of a few people at the club, is that he is not a whistle blower and can be trusted not to tel...

Re: Adam Webster
Webster and Whatmough are so good in their roles. They bring the ball out of defence and try to make things happen. Webster had a reasonable game last night but he was the right one to pull off given Awfs wanted to change the formation. However, it didn't work. Once Webster left the park we couldn'...

Re: Trust Statement
Hope you're right fleegle, in that it is *only* forum based. A worry that the club (or the PST) will lose so many *good* people. I understand the point(s) you're making. And as a fan, I am certainly not in any loop *at all*. But with a few people with dual roles, or with friends who are in one posi...

Re: Trust Statement
To say "can't be spoken of fully" seems to imply you know what's gone on, but you can't tell anyone else ... why should you know but not anyone else? Are you better than me? If you're on the PST board then you shouldn't be posting statements like that, if you're not then how come you know...

Re: Trust Statement
think it's been bubbling for a while sadly. There seem to be a few people who seem upset they weren't involved in the club, or at least "high up" in the Trust This really is nonsense. What has gone on is complex and can't be spoken of fully because there are innocents involved. It will co...

I thought the meltdown would take longer than this. I think it's been bubbling for a while sadly. There seem to be a few people who seem upset they weren't involved in the club, or at least "high up" in the Trust, once the new era began and have been itching for something to go "wron...
