Re: The Shrews Match
[quote=Pompey55 Agree with much of what you say I do think this was the match to try the Bishop/Yengi combination as we always had options on the bench if it never worked against a pretty average opponent Saydee is underestimated in the 10 role as he makes a difference with his ability to hold up t...

Re: Pompey Accounts.
It's interesting to see the difference the refurbishment has made and that's before the Milton End. The accounts for the end of next season (hopefully our first back in championship) will be the first year when the full benefit of the refurbishment is seen I think? Over the summer when the TV gantr...

Re: Burton Albion
Stating the obvious tonight’s match is must win, I expect BA to bring a low block and hit us on the break. I watched them cause Derby a few problems on Sky in Jan I think. Hugill is a threat. I expect same formation with Lang & Sparkes being rested, MPH reverts to his best position, (Doors cove...

Re: F A Cup Final Day
Some might say United are no longer a big club 💩 :rofl really?? They maybe a bit meh atm but ffs cmon. I wrote that like 12 months ago. 😺 Someone resurrected the thread. The idea that Utd aren't a big club is laughable really. I dont like them but I have to acknowledge their fan base(which is world...

Does anyone know the reason for moving the competition to week days? Presumably something to do with money.

Re: Top of the League.
Bolton have a run of difficult away games and fixture congestion. I believe they are going to have to play Sat-Tue-Sat every week now until the end of the season. Pompey have to go to Bolton yet and Bolton have to play at Derby and they finish the season at Peterborough. Whilst i wish it was true i...

Re: Owners back at Fratton Park
Just wanted to say that as an ex share holder I look at Portsmouth Football Club and I think we should be very proud and excited about where we are right now. The owners have, in my view, been fantastic for our club and we are lucky to have such committed people running the show. The park is lookin...

Re: Different Approach To Transfer Window: Bolton vs Pompey
I think the observation that some of these signings are to bolster positions because of injury is an interesting and true observation. Would MPH have been a target if Anjorin and Robertson were fit ....probably not. Allowing teams to address areas of weakness in their squad or to make changes to th...

Re: Different Approach To Transfer Window: Bolton vs Pompey
All things are not always equal but I find it interesting that Pompey have signed five players in this window (6 if you count Martin re-signing until the end of the season) and have spent an estimated £700k doing so. For this money Pompey sign a GK in Macey under the end of the season, McIntrye as ...
