Re: Shrewsbury
Anyone know why there is so much injury time? Currently +9 minutes! There was a string of injuries. The main one was a clash of heads between Ahadme and a Shrewsbury player, both cut I think as they had to change shirts, which was about 5 minutes. Then another injury to a Pompey player. Plus a few ...

Re: Team tomorrow
If Gassan doesn't have a decent first half I can see Jacobs coming on to play behind Marquis. Injuries, etc. permitting, I think we will see a lot of this in 2021-22. If Cowley wants the team to play a high press, the front four are going to have to get through a lot of work, and there will need to...

Re: Crewe attendance
I've got a feeling it will be around 10,000. I thought it would all but sell out, but having had a quick look at the ticket site, there are literally hundreds and hundreds of unsold seats. I suspect this is a combination of a number of factors which include: 1. Anxiety from some people over Covid-1...

Re: Louis Thompson signs one year deal.
I agree Porchester if Curtis goes Jacobs will stay as there will be more funding available and no need to sell him but DC has stated now he does not see Jacobs going. I just hope the players that want to leave and were on the edge of leaving get their heads down and perform for us if they do stay. ...

Re: What’s the deal with watching Pompey and vaccinations?
No, and you don't have to wear a mask. It's all getting a bit silly. I supposedly had to wear a mask on trains to and from Millwall last night; the latter train from London Bridge to home being virtually empty (and people ignoring the rule) and that from South Bermondsey to LB packed (and no-one wea...

Re: Millwall supporter's take on the game...
think you are being harsh on him. I am not sure why, but there is certainly some anti-Bass feeling amongst Pompey supporters. Whether this dates back to Jackett's strange decision to play Bass ahead of MacGillivray at the end of 2019-20 I don't know, but that play-off loss wasn't down to Bass. Last...

Re: Millwall Game
Back From The Game (hurrah!) My first time in a football ground for nearly 18 months, so mostly good to be back. I had almost forgotten how to watch a match live, so please bear with me if this is a bit lacking. Overall, the game was a good test against a solid Championship side; Millwall were mid-t...

Re: Louis Thompson signs one year deal.
We now have a midfield capable of, and a management team disposed to, playing in a way that will suit John Marquis. I am tempted to place my half-crown on John Marquis ending the season as L1 top scorer. I can see a situation where he grabs a couple of goals, his confidence rises, and, as Locky say...

Re: Louis Thompson signs one year deal.
Maybe a CB short, but otherwise I would play the season with that squad quite happily. Apart from a reserve CB, or a loan offer that is too good to refuse, I think we are at the stage of someone having to leave before any more signings.

Saying he'd do one thing, and then doing the polar opposite, seems exactly like a Cook thing to do.Pompey1984+1 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 09, 2021 9:40 pm Paul Cook was his former manager too, and it doesn't strike me as a particularly Cook like thing to do.
