Re: Chesterfield
I've had some time to stew on my back from the game report... I'm not going to write a long one more a series of points. 1. The kick off set the tone - I think there was an air of turning up will be enough amongst some players. 2. I don't think anyone played especially badly, but nobody played espe...

Re: Chesterfield
Really nervous about this fixture - Chesterfield have some skilled and experienced players plus Paul Cook, who is no fool.

Re: Team v Reading
For me, what was most impressive was that we were able to ring the squad changes - for example, teenager Devlin's first full game and he scores. The experienced Kamara and Saydee coming on as substitutes. We would never have managed that last season. Unfortunately the substitutions did not work Say...

Re: Can we begin to dream now?
I’m with Dinksy. I hope to get to my first match of the season soon after I move to Guildford next week. Direct train to Fratton, no more hanging about at Southampton Station to change trains. I never expect good outcomes when I want a team to win anything. I think we should make the play offs. Any...

Yep - Eisner is none too popular at Disney, at least from a purist sense. He brought about massive layoffs and got rid of the Disney old guard, reinventing the whole corporate structure and turned Disney into a commercial behemoth - putting profit before tradition. And Lord Farquaad in Shrek, who's...

Re: Top of the League.
Don't want to dampen your enthusiasm but things could change on Saturday 23rd. Lincoln could play a strong defensive game: we've had difficulty breaking down such tactics. Maybe a draw - one point. On the same day, Stevenage are playing the bottom club Cheltenham away - a win with three points would...

Intriguing comment: do you have some inside information? Or just speculation?Selsey Bill wrote: ↑Tue Sep 19, 2023 12:43 pm Very good interview. sadly, there is a danger that neither Big John nor Rich Hughes will be with us much longer than this season if all goes to plan. PUP

Re: Peterborough Predictions.
Interesting that there are few reported mentions of Bishop above.
In the BBC radio commentary, Guy Whittingham was full of praise for Bishop, who was not put off by constant aggressive tackling and poor referee protection

Now 2-1 to Pompey: 2 goal turn around by our home team.
Kamara's first Pompey goal followed by several defensive PFC errors.

Unchanged team against Cheltenham.
Let's hope Scully's corner taking has improved.
