Banner for the final

Post by Harry's Tune »

I was thinking what if we all chipped in a little bit each to contribute towards the creation of a collosal Pompey banner with the crest or 'Play up Pompey' that we could display before the start of the final. something like this

or like this (but bigger)

along with the ticker tape, the flags and the (record breaking noise) we produce it would help make for an incredible final atmosphere

any suggestions?

I'd imagine if you contacted the club they may help in someway?

What happened to the large banner that used to be passed back and forth across the Fratton End before matches a couple of years ago? (OK, maybe quite a few years, the brain isn't what it was). Is it stashed in a cupboard, or did Milan take it to the crispies and change the wording?

We have to do the tickertape again although the stewards may be more alert this time for people bringing in lots of newspapers.

We'll tear up programs then - they're only £5 each after all :)

Failing that, get hold of all the paper napkins from the food stalls.

But surely, one paper each should get through.

we went in with a clear carrier bag, quite obviously stuffed full of torn up snooze (best use for it ever, apart from one time i got caught short), and none of the stewards said owt. handfuls each and passed along the row. job done

The short female steward at the back of 108 grabbed a handfull (Ooh Err!)and joined in the tickertape. She said it was amazing and was the good thing about No Smoking venue that it does not become a fire hazard. She had stewarded at a few Wembley events before and had not heard so much noise, was surprised so many Pompey fans were drunk before the game started and looked forward to us returning at the Final.

have to agree.. as soon as i break the seal im in need of a can every 20 to 30 minutes.. and i can never ever hold on till half/full time.. much to the displeasure of the 8 - 10 people between me and the gangway.
