18th
Is where we would have finished without the 10 point deduction.
Barnsley would have been relegated
Barnsley would have been relegated

Indeed...
I take hope that we are following those down the road, may not be actually the same circumstances, but we do have our similarities.
They have regrouped and fought their way back to the Premiership, let us hope, pray and whatever transpires in the next few months we emerge, stronger, fitter and leaner, so we may compete against [on a level playing field] with that lot down the road.
Oh and by the way, well done scummers on holding onto 2nd place, just.

Re: 18th
No we wouldn't have. The act of deduction 10 points effected our performances. Had we not been deducted 10 points and had no money worries this season, we would have probably finished in the top 10 IMHO.

Especially given the subsequent enforced loss of Lawrence, Henderson, Mullins, Huseklep, Hreidarsson and Williams.Pompski! wrote:No we wouldn't have. Got to be rethought IMHO, the points deductions. Would say on a case by case, but that then courts controversy & claims of discrimination. Tricky.
But does seem ridiculous for what, at the end of the day, is down to Antonov & Co. and we gained very little benefit for a very short period of time (granted, ours this season is a spectacularly bad fit), but not fair on: fans, players, staff, club. People's lives!

Well this new financial policy that's coming in over the next few seasons, will fine clubs who go over £6m in debt. That's the other way. Got to say though that's like fining somenone who fails to pay their TV license. Chances are if they can't afford the license, they can't afford the fine either!WheresWally/ScottMcGarvey wrote:Got to be rethought IMHO, the points deductions. Agreed. I would have thought a points deduction would be more apt as it would make it utterly pointless (eh!) for clubs to try to 'buy success' in the first place.Pompski! wrote:Well this new financial policy that's coming in over the next few seasons, will fine clubs who go over £6m in debt.
