Is Appleton on his way?

Post by bluemal »

With Hodgson going to England, are WBA going to want Appleton back?

When he came I can remember some WBA fans saying that he was WBA's next manager and was only leaving to get experience.

Well he certainly had an experience here! Think it unlikely Appy would be foremost in their minds.

I reckon unlikely, when you consider the situation that Hodgson took over from - Peace having sacked a relatively inexperienced manager, who seemed out of his depth in the PL (albeit one who'd had longer in charge than MA has had here)... suspect they'll go for someone with a bit more experience to replace Hodgson.

Not to say that Appleton won't go in the summer - I just don't think he'd get the job at WBA.
If you've got something left to say, you'd better say it now.

I had the same worry over the Hodgson news. In current circumstances if they offer anything in six figures I can see it being accepted.
