Halford not leaving... ...yet

Post by Victory Stadium »

Greg Halford ‏ @GregHalford15
From the horses mouth doesn't matter what the press say. I have not even spoke to another club about a move away from Portsmouth.

Because you earn more than minimum wage, ergo you'll be on your way soon...

We gave Halford a chance when nobody else would, and he seems settled here. I wouldn't be shocked to see him stay for a wage more in line with League One, for one season anyway. Then if we don't come back up he'll move on.

In fact, I'd not be too shocked to see a couple of the players make an offer like that.

Interesting, just going back through a few of Halford's tweets. I presume Dexter Blackstock asked why he wasn't in the squad on Saturday, as he wrote "long story but it has to do with Portsmouth paying money out if I did."

The implication, as I read it, is that we would owe Wolves a load more money if he played X number of games this season?

Yeah pretty sure that's it, guessed that when they mentioned it on the radio.
