Re: FAO Simon
Cheers mate, very interesting, I knew they had dived to collect secret info, its always quoted that the Coventry could not defend itself because it could not lock its radar onto the enemy aircraft but what is never mentioned but is a fact is the reason for this HMS Broadsword sailed across its bows as it was about to take out the attacking planes.I was on the Antelope and today I got a message to a link on facebook saying a plaque was from the Antelope was today for the 1st time being put on display, 1 phone call to the curator and I was its first visitor to see it. It was another 1st for me joining many such as 1st person off the Antelope after the bomb went off, my excuse was to help the marines rig fire fighting hoses on the landing craft who came to rescue us. worst part for me was those marines and the 2 navy guys who crewed the landing craft were all killed when one of the planes that bombed the Galahad dumped its excess bombs before flying back to Argentina.
