Downloading from iPlayers...
OH is off to start her job in Pakistan tomorrow and I want to send her episodes of her beloved Corrie.
As an alternative to torrents, is there a way to download the progs from ITV Player?

I've not tried it myself, but one of the guys at work uses something called Replay Video Capture.

If you dont mind spending a bit of money then a few of our foreign reps have invested in a slingbox which allows you to watch whatever you have on your sky/virgin/freeview box from a PC anywhere in the world with an internet connection.
they CLAIM that it doesnt need to be that fast and a few have since invested in ipads to watch it on instead of laptops.
Basically so they can watch the football when abroad in a hotel room. I did tell them there are "alternate" ways to do it.

You could also use a VPN like hidemyass which you can choose a UK provider and be able to access iplayer, 4OD etc as if you were in the UK.
Other people talk of "ex-pat shield" but i have never had any success when abroad.
