Faith & Football Enterprise Challenge

Post by Locky_McLockface »

Hello all, first could I ask a Moderator to sticky this for a few weeks please.

I expect you all know the excellent work that Linvoy's Faith & Football charity does in Portsmouth and the area. They have launched the Enterprise Challenge, in which groups of local schoolchildren are tasked with creating a business and running it profitably for a few weeks.

No.2 son and a group of his friends have entered the challenge, and their business is writing, publishing and selling a magazine at home matches.

Their Facebook page is here https://www.facebook.com/pages/Inside-P ... 3784758816

It would be great if you could like the page, maybe a message of support, but more importantly, if your budgets could stretch to a copy of the magazine on match day, that would be absolutely wonderful. The first issue is on sale on 15th Feb, and will be available on board the Trust Bus, and in Frogmore Road.

All proceeds will go to Faith & Football.

Thank you kindly.

I would be happy to support if you could tell me what amount to send you for magazine and postage as for some reason I don't fancy being anywhere near Frogmore Road on match day
Could you PM me cost and your address please or if you prefer the shops address.

Thank you, ISF, they are setting up a website as well as their Facebook page, which will have the ability to purchase online. They have some grand plans, bless 'em.

He has now built himself (with a little help from Daddy) the website, including being able to purchase the magazine online.

If you rollover the Products tab, there will be a drop-down menu with Buy A Magazine option.

THank you very much, he (and they) will very much appreciate it.

I am pleased to say that the boys had a meeting with Jobsite yesterday, who have offered to help design and print the magazines.

It looks like the boys will be on Radio Solent this weekend, and the first issue will be out, and on sale at the Cheltenham game. I will let you all know where and when.

So,the first issue will be being sold on the Trust Bus and in the Victory Lounge before the game, for the measly sum of £1.50. If anyone could spare the time and the cash to go and get one, I and they would seriously appreciate it.

ISF, yours will be in the post soon.

I've just seen the first issue, and I know I'm biased but it is very professionally produced.

The boys have had a lot of help from Jobsite, in terms of layout and stuff but I think you'd be hard-pressed to tell that it's been produced by 6 Year9 pupils.

Against Cheltenham Town, Inside Pompey will be selling their first issue at the Trust Bus in the car park. We formed as part of the Faith and Football Enterprise Challenge, and all the profits we make will go to the charity. It is £1.50 to buy, and we hope that you pick up a copy, and spread the word!
