Not sure about you but news that Moores is the new England coach has a backward-step feel about it.

Plus it has a door-slammed-shut for KP feel about it, too. I always harboured a hope he'd be called back after the dust settled but that won't happen now.

Cook helped to shut the door so they were hardly going to undermine their captain with a choice that wanted KP back.

Also they appear to be selling this as Cook's team, not Moores' team. That's a welcome step backwards for me.
