who set off from Fratton Park at 10am this morning: www.ride2bury.co.uk
It's most amusing that the team of 20 riders is being led by a Scotsman (Tom Dearie) and a Northern Irishman (Carl Paddon) on this most English of all days! The team also includes our very own board member Ronald Dinlo. If you haven't already sponsored them and have a spare quid or two, I'm sure it would help them get through their 300 journey: http://ride2bury.co.uk/fundraising.php
Whilst I cant be there to wave them off, I will be in Bury to meet and greet them and share a pint or two!
Yet again the #PompeyFamily show what a wonderful one they are
Good luck to the Ride2Bury team

Re: Good luck to the Ride2Bury team
Tom and Carl are both proper Pompey lads and they reflect the infectious nature of the club. Good luck to them all especially Neil (Ronald Dinlo) and well done Formerly Known As (widders) for sponsoring him.
Throw some money in the pot as they are on their way to breaking the £20k barrier. I shall be taking advantage of a viewing point in Brum to salute them.

Watching wheels spin and dust settle.
Re: Good luck to the Ride2Bury team
Now that's a ride that can rightfully be called heroic.
I did the London to Brighton cycle ride for the British Heart Foundation many moons ago and thought it'd be quite heroic but it was actually quite easy as long as you didn't push it (well, I DID push it up to Ditchling Beacon, I have to say, but not in the same sense).
However this ride is truly heroic, enough to make the strongest among us quail at the very idea. Good luck, lads (and lasses?).
