Tell me about it. Heathrow has been like an oven all day. And no joke, issuing caps and factor 30 to my technicians was exactly what I was doing at 9am this morning.

Strange....as it's unseasonably cool here. Normally its over 90F and humid and I need to hire an army of 3rd world immigarnats to waft me with fans.... but no! In FACT, I was in Wisconsin early this morning and it was 40F...enough to make your nipples stand out.....very odd. Hang on....let me translate that for y'all.....90 is 32C and 40 is 4C.
Currently an awesome 70.....thats 21C to y'all.....loving it.

Friday into Saturday looks very tasty. Severe thunderstorms, rain of biblical proportions and major tornado risk. Can't wait!

Supposedly the UK has more tornadoes than anywhere else in the world, in terms of land mass. We get about 40-50 per year apparently. But they're just a bit ****** in comparison to the trailer-park-destructing-behemoths across the pond.

They do love trailer parks......I think its Gods way of culling the poor.

But seriously folks....they come here (Cincinnati) once in a while. Been 4-5 within 10 miles of Kid Mansion in my time.
Once on the news, footage was shown of a house.....everything gone except the foundation and the carpet.
I've never seen one though. We have an alarm system....sounds like a WW2 air raid siren.....its ignored by the general populace as the excitable weather morons also set it off for severe thunderstorms....which we get twicw a week in the summer. I have seen their awesome destructive power though....very impressive....there is a particular spot on Interstae 75 near Atlanta I pass by from time to time.....you can still see where the tornado crossed the Interstate. A path of destruction about 300 meters wide. Taller trees get severed at about 10ft.....thinner trees get bent over so the tops touch the ground and they then grow like that for a while. All small ground shrubs ....gone.

About 2-3 weeks ago one started out the back from work in Swanwick. Big T/Storm aproaching from the west as I type. I think it may get loud pretty soon. :D

It's all a bit strange here, there's lightning for just about 360 degrees that seems pretty close but just rumbles of thunder. Does look pretty impressive looking towards Pompey tho'. 8)

Patrick Moore's observatory in his back garden in Selsey got destroyed by one in 1998. Apparently, his house was bought by Brian May (poodle permed Queen guitarist) before Moore died, and leased back to him at a peppercorn rent, in order to provide Moore with financial security.

One passed a mile or so from my house a few years back. I remember the sky becoming pitch black in the middle of the day.
Watching wheels spin and dust settle.
