Just watched it on Ch5 highlights.
OMG....Cook was almost in tears as he was interviewed afterwards by Mark Nicholas.
He was just gibbering when Nicholas pointed out the suicide tactics of batting to India's field settings so perfectly that even Dhoni looked surprised it was coming off. Cook was saying things like, "No one would be moaning if all those hooks came off!".
My thinking is he gave them carte blanche to 'ave a go...but with no plan B.
Reckon he must've got hold of Harry Redknapps book of tactics (Rule 1 - there is no plan B; Rule 2 - go to Rule 1).
As MV said, we mustn't destroy the lad - he's a brilliant batsman and a pretty good fielder (as he showed yesterday).....and we want him back opening the batting.

At Southampton this week:
Bell out, James Vince in
Prior out, Buttler in
Broad out, someone else in (several candidates)
Cook out, someone else in (again, there are one or two candidates)

Just shows how bad things are. Prior is out, and they're not even playing.
