L Hamilton Grid Penalty
Seems a bit harsh the five place penalty ?
He stuffed the car due to a mechanical failure not related to the gearbox, the gearbox gets damaged and they have to change it, so he is given a five place grid penalty !
Either that or they accepted that he would not achieve much from the 15th position and though they would take the opportunity to swap the gearbox out as well ????
If not, i think this is very harsh.

Still, he's got nothing to lose today and it should be interesting for once to watch a race. You never know, maybe his team mate won't finish and Lewis gets a podium finish. However, looking at German sport the past few weeks, I don't see that happening!

Just found out and was saying to Mrs Jasper , if the gearbox has not failed , but is damaged during an accident , why the penalty ?
Similarly , if an engine gets damaged during a crash , does the changing of that incur a penalty ?
Harsh if true .

Well, you got it half right, even if you couldn`t see it coming.RubiconCSL wrote:Still, he's got nothing to lose today and it should be interesting for once to watch a race. Would've been a dull race but for Hamilton's charge reminding us of Mansell at his best and the Alonso/Ricciardo scrap. If Alonso had a Mercedes he'd be awesome.
