Looks unlikely that they will get to Monday . Unless it rains.....

Forecast I heard this morning was that rain was expected , but not to much , and it should not affect play to much .

Re: 5th Test Eng v India
Whilst accepting the fact that India were poor you can only beat whats in ft of you & England have utterly demolished India. Its an amazing turnaround.
When @ his lowest point after Lords Boycott said something like Cook will never be a great tactical leader, but he may be able to lead from the ft. TBF I think Cook has responded well to the torrent of criticism & if anything has listened to it & maybe has become a better captain. It wasn't long ago he was being compared to an old school type captain inasmuch as when winning the toss he'd choose to bat whatever the weather & pitch conditions. Well seems Cookie has learned a thing or two which cant be bad. I'm pleased for him & the team & I'm glad that the likes of Ballance & Buttler seem like fixtures now. Suddenly the Aussie tour disaster seems a while back.

India didn't last 30 overs. Its a little dissatisfying.

That's how I feel. It doesn't seem like a victory at all given how easily India capitulated. It's like in a boxing match you were going to punch your opponent but they fell to the floor before you made contact.Lost in Transportation wrote:India didn't last 30 overs. Its a little dissatisfying.

Best summed up by TMS as usual - 'India were already on the flight home. In fact they'd landed, gone through customs and been picked up by the wife'Earl Grey wrote:That's how I feel.
