Indeed. I was also wondering what Bournemouth have got to do with anything in any case? I quite like them. Especially as they sing derogatory songs about Southampton.
They were giving Lallana a scummering the other night when Bournemouth played Liverpool. Quite amusing as Lallana started his career at.... Bournemouth.

All I will say is that are an awful lot of happy people this end of the M27 tonight - no boasting , no bluster just enjoying the moment.

Did Linford just revive a 3 week old thread in an attempt to goad us?

Oh, the irony!

Well, as some of you know, I fell off the wagon last week with the dry January attempt and then clambered back on it with all good intentions - until this evening at the final whistle when we cracked open a bottle of Nyetimber! You see - this is why I love football. It's all about that moment before KO when there is that impossible dream that you could win - even when you know there's little chance. And sometimes dreams come true. Like today!

Very happy for Koeman as well. Thoroughly bl**dy nice bloke. And so is BlueinMontreal. But Lindford - you are bad. As in really bad (naughty), not good bad. This modern fandangled language is impossible!

Well done on a good victory Ziggy....but is winning at OT these days that impossible ?

I know Utd were unbeaten at OT since the start of the season but they are frankly a very average side with a poor defence. I think there are bigger fish to fry than Utd these days....winning at Stamford Bridge, now that would be deserving of a bottle of Nyetimber :thumb

Haven't done it for 27 years and last time I was there, we lost 5-0. Add the relationship between the 2 managers into the mix and the fact that we overtook them to go 3rd, then I probably should have had a bottle of Cristal!

thats kind of my point Ziggy....we are seeing the worst Utd side since Fergie took over, it really is that bad.

will a win over Chelsea bring out the Krug ? :-)

I guess whenever you go to a match, whoever you're playing, you believe that it is possible to win otherwise there wouldn't be much point going but the statistics told me that we really didn't have much of a chance.

I don't think I could ever pay for a bottle of wine that costs more than about £50, could you? I could definitely drink one though!
