Grand National Tips

Post by Miss Tickle's bottom »

Does anyone have any good long-shot tips for the GN? I need to place my annual fifty pence each way bet. That'll cost me a quid, won't it?

Contributions from the Channel Islands, the Lake District and public toilets on Hampstead Heath are especially welcome.

I see you're going for the horse you gave me in the sweepstake, which I am absolutely not going to invest in - I am a very sad human being and could not possibly bring myself to back a horse with that word in its name; I could end up saying all sorts of unacceptable things if it was leading. Yuck.

Good luck with your other tips, here's hoping that this is your year to hammer the bookies!

1. Find a bookie paying out first 6 places
2. Put 50p each way on every horse
3. Hope the first 6 are from the long odds end of the pack

The 5 carrying my pennies are Saint Are, Godsmejudge, Balthazar King, Alvarado & Soll. So I'd avoid those if I were you!

He's French so it's pronounced "sant" rather the other word, that's the excuse I'm using anyway! He's also an absolutely gorgeous horse who I have long been a fan of and predicted a few years ago that he'd win a national one day so I'm hoping he'll do me proud..

It would appear that the donkey tipsters are as good as the football tipsters on this board.
