Re: Wallace
From the OS
Midfielder signs for Championship club
Jed Wallace has signed for Championship side Wolves for an undisclosed fee.
The 21-year-old midfielder – a former England under-19 international – won Pompey’s Player of the Season award last term after netting 17 goals in 50 appearances.
He joined the Blues from Lewes in 2011, initially playing academy football before making his debut in a League Cup tie at Plymouth the following year.
But it was after a prolific spell at Whitehawk when Wallace really began to make a name for himself at Fratton Park.
He netted on his home debut against Hartlepool in January 2013 and later scored in three successive matches to emerge as one of the few bright spots from a season which saw Pompey relegated to League Two.
Wallace added seven more strikes the following campaign before more than doubling his total goal tally last term.
That saw him pick up a host of supporters’ club awards – on top of the main prize – before the final game against York, as well as being selected in the PFA League Two Team of the Year.
Portsmouth Football Club would like to place on record its sincere thanks to Jed for his efforts with Pompey over the past few years and we look forward to watching his continued development at Wolves.

Good luck Jed, sorry to see you go but I think both parties will benefit.
