OT - Hungarian GP

Post by Earl Grey »

Now that was an exciting race.

As a tribute to Jules Bianchi you couldn't have stage a more dramatic Grand Prix.

Hamilton was on re-wind, back to the days of recklessness he was so noted for at one time - and rightly getting punished by Charlie Whiting....although Maldonado was easily the most qualified to stand on the naughty step.
Rosberg was 'done' by the same trick he pulled on Hamilton last season, although this time it was never deliberate by Ricciardo.
Fernando Alonso at last picked up some meaningful points with a car that's only fit for the scrap heap.
A 17-year old was just pipped to the podium (Verstappen).

And perhaps most notably, we all held our collective breath as Nico Hulkenberg's Force India lost its front wing and plummeted off track at very high speed, fortunately into a wall of tyres designed to absorb the impact.
A truly heart stopping moment.
