Re: Back from the game at Plymouth
Interesting comment from PC in the new (Tuseday 18th) News video: he was quite critical of the team performance that conceded the Plymouth goal towards the end of the game.
We should have defended better against certain types of play. He felt that we switched off and could easily have conceded another goal. He wanted 2-0.
We still have much to work on. PUP

Re: Back from the game at Plymouth
Didn't see much of last season, but a common complaint was that long balls into the box weren't cleared properly, and then the player picking it up wasn't closed down quick enough to prevent the shot...
Sound familiar with the goal we let in? Also, watching that video posted in the other thread (with the behind the scenes shots), I couldn't help but notice a bit of a 'flap' at around 7:30 (I think).
Not wanting to detract from otherwise outstanding performances, but for us to excel in this league, then I suspect Paul Cook is bang on the money in wanting to cut out the silly errors. On other days, those will be punished and we'd lose/draw games we could otherwise win.
All in all though, a positive start, and refreshing to see a manager that is always looking to push for the best, and not rest easy on an away win in the bag.

Re: Back from the game at Plymouth
All I am getting from the Argyle fans this week is "Yes your Team look good but you needed help from the Referee, the first one was never a penalty!"
I just keep telling them to read the football results in the paper and see if it says it was a penalty.
