Re: Predictions for tonight
You were so very nearly spot on!
Re: Predictions for tonight
I listened to the match on the radio. When we won the corner 2 minutes into injury time I thought "Yes, come on! This is it!"
Really, I'm old enough to know better...

Re: Predictions for tonight
Optimism dj, nothing wrong with that!
Other than the 2002/03 season (and to an extent the period the couple of seasons after that), I've not felt this way about the team until right back to 1982 and Bobby Campbell's boys. Upwards, and really feel that this team can kick-on. (& it was different in the Prem, like a different game, too corporate, and you could smell the money going into the wrong hands, almost!)
I know we need a reality check (and we'll get one), but I think PC will bring in 2 more before the deadline (especially if Davies is injured), and we'll finish in the top 3 (bl**dy hope so, we've put all our eggs in one basket with this appt & backing for him - but if Cook and these boys can't do it - then we're always going to struggle. I suppose we could finish in the play-offs and lose in the final or something - but for Cook - and the board - that would be failure - but they'd be up for another crack next season, and I think most of the fans).
Cripes, I'm in May, and it's only August!
