Although there are aspects of our cousins across the pond that could be improved, and that's true of any country anyway, there are also things that I love about the place and on balance they outweigh the bad.
So let me think:
Walt Disney - how much poorer would the World be if he'd never been born?
English - being the most influential country means everyone wants to speak it making it easy for us Brits.
Jazz - born in the USA really although snipers might have a different angle.
Hollywood - nuff said.
Bing, Frank, Sammy D Jr, Princess Grace, Bob Hope (OK, born here but made in the USA), Sam Harris, Bill Maher, the list goes on.
Have to sign off but just thought I'd redress the slightly anti American vibes on the board by me and others.

I'll add to the list :
NASA - some next level brainiacs there, and I'm often in awe of what they can show us.
TV - Admittedly much/most of it is dogsh1t, but when they get it right, it can be a work of genius.
Seattle grunge - not to everyone's taste, but I've never been happier musically than I was between about 1988-94. I also had much more hair. And bleached the hell out of it.
