So UK based go favorite-backing, cheating New England, while the US based go for General Manning.....This Time Next Year wrote:For my benefit, collation of the predictions so far...

Re: NFL play offs
Well...General Manning's D turns in a stellar performance and the Broncos win. You thought Brady might pull it out at the end there...completing a 4th & 10 with a minute left...then getting the TD...but the 2pt conversion was not to be.
Meanwhile the other game is a rout...because 1 team has Carson "Red Zone Turnover" Palmer
Just like I told y'all
Kid NFL cred re-established.
Now let me tell you why General Manning is going to beat the superior Panthers in the Super Duper Bowl
1. Denver has the best D in the league
2. General Manning...been there done that
3. Hollywood writes the game scripts.....who doesn't want to see Peyton go out with a championship at Super bowl 50 no less
Meanwhile the other game is a rout...because 1 team has Carson "Red Zone Turnover" Palmer

Re: NFL play offs
Well the Pats kicker Gostkowski missed his 1st extra point kick in 9 years (523 consecutive successful kicks in the NFL) which enabled that end of game drama. But Manning raised his game compared with last week while Brady dropped in level which wasn't all due to the Broncos defence. Still the Pats lost, never a bad thing...The Cincinnati Kid wrote:Well...General Manning's D turns in a stellar performance and the Broncos win. 7 (Seven) turnovers by the Cardinals. But the game turned on that fumbled punt return that collapsed the momentum that the Cards were generating to recover from that 1st quarter blitz. The Cincinnati Kid wrote:Meanwhile the other game is a rout...because 1 team has Carson "Red Zone Turnover" Palmer

Fascinating match-up between the best team in the NFL against the best defence with Old Man Manning showing his veteran stagecraft. The Cincinnati Kid wrote:Now let me tell you why General Manning is going to beat the superior Panthers in the Super Duper Bowl

However, my gut feeling for Cam Newton tells me this is a "passing of the torch" Hollywood script with the young buck named the 50th MVP. But for neutrals like me with no dog in the fight, its a no-lose Superbowl final.

Re: NFL play offs
Thanks for that, been too busy crying into my Cardinals Jersey all day to do the update.
Think next year I might tweak the scoring, so correct picks in each round are worth...
Wildcard: 1
Divisional: 2
Championship: 4
Superbowl: 8
If nothing else, will keep it interesting until the end.
If I have time I might even go back and apply that system to these scores...
