Happy memories indeed.
I had forgotten just how decent our team was that year. Oh to have Hateley and Biley now!

Paul Parker was the one Fulham played that day, not Scott Parker who would've been about 3 years old then. Paul Parker did play for England though.POLPERO99 wrote:Blimey , that takes me back ! Watch Paul Parker being robbed by Alan Rogers (16' 16") who nearly scores.

Re: Happy Memories
Great clip...and if you'd have asked me if Rodgers/Biley/Tait/Webb and Hateley ever played in the same side i'd have said no.
Shorts very suspect....not that there's anything wrong with that etc etc....

Terraces and fences, glad the fences went but would love to get terraces back, brings back happy memories of going as a kid in the North lower sat on the bars and the old man trying his best to protect you as the crowd surged forward.

Amen to that, PortchesterPFC.Portchester PFC wrote:Terraces and fences, glad the fences went but would love to get terraces back.
No reason at all why terracing can't work. The Hillsborough tragedy was down to poor judgement by the officials and police and also to do with inadequate crush barriers. Modern analysis and computer modelling could surely produce a terrace with safety yet freedom of movement.

My brother was getting married on that day..... would have gone to the game, but glad it was on Match of the day.
