Bristol Rovers Home
Big game today. Hope against hope we can get 3 points. Should be a good atmosphere with Rovers bringing down nearly 3000 fans.
Re: Bristol Rovers Home
Yes....big, big game.
Win it and everything doesn't look too unreachable.
Lose it and we're really up against it.

Re: Bristol Rovers Home
From the radio commentary it would appear that we are playing pretty well.
I hope that we keep pressing in the second half.

Re: Bristol Rovers Home
Somehow the gloss is taken off a good performance by yet another goal in the last minute - how many more times is this going to occur? Goal difference is important because all the other results went against us today and Accrington look far the most likely contender for a top three finish if any one of the current top 3 falter.....good crowd there today 17,800 or so and Bristol must have taken up their ticket allocation, which is nice to see!

Accrington won't cope with their fixture pile up and suspensions.pomp 'n circumstance wrote:Somehow the gloss is taken off a good performance by yet another goal in the last minute - how many more times is this going to occur? Bit churlish. That was a cracking result against play-off rivals who have an excellent away record. I don't think the results went against us as Orient, Mansfield, Carlisle, Cambridge all lost. Forget the top 3 - they're gone, unless something pretty dramatic occurs.pomp 'n circumstance wrote:Somehow the gloss is taken off a good performance by yet another goal in the last minute - how many more times is this going to occur? Pompey have games in hand over most teams and a goal difference simply miles better than the other play-off contenders. The table doesn't look too bad.

Re: Bristol Rovers Home
In brief, but basically everything that didn't work last week was good this week.
A system in which players knew what they were doing.
Energy down the RH side; Evans and Davies both very good.
Roberts his best game (Bournemouth apart) for ages.
Harrying and closing down the opposition.
Winning tackles and second balls.
Webster absolutely, totally, imperious. Best footballer on the pitch.
Only complaint was that we should have had 2-3 more. I suppose the Rovers goal was a bit of a shambles, but these things happen when one-sided games open up at the end.
