Christ, if that's true, the world has lost one of the most prolific songwriters in the history of music. The mother of all royalty (no pun intended) battles is about to commence. The Paisley Park vault is supposed to have 10,000 unreleased songs in it.

If it is almost all the big news outlets have been fooled.

If true, very sad, great talent and 2016 takes another.

Flu & the complications it causes can kill especially if the immune system isn't what it should be. Could easily be flu or complications from it.

He had apparently been suffering from something for several weeks, sadly he was discharged from hospital just a few days ago.

Been a very bad year indeed. Another of our artists! David Bowie, Merle Haggard, Glenn Fry, Keith Emerson and now Prince. We're five for five, and it's a somber place around here today. :(

Prince was a musical genius. Played all his instruments except the brass/wind. Y'all may be surprised to learn he wrote other artists hits.
They say there is enough music in hos vault to rack an album a year for the next 100 yrs....not to mention the 40 odd he put out in 40 yrs.

Sinead O' Conner's Nothing Compares 2 U

Chaka Khan's I feel For You

Bangles Manic Monday

All Prince toons

And he might just have been the last 30 yrs best axeman....perhaps alongside SRV....as evidence M'lud...I give you the guitar solo from a tribute to George Harrison
