Adam Webster - gone or rumour?

Post by uspompeyfan »

I saw a tweet from Connor Chaplin (though I don't follow him or really understand twitter), that he was sad because Adam was leaving for Ipswich in return for Clarke plus 750K

I haven't seen anything on here, so, rather than Google the facts.... will wait for them in the know to release the facts :-)

Life is all about ass. You're either covering it, laughing it off, kicking it, kissing it, busting it or trying to get a piece of it.

24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a crate .... coincidence? i think not!!!

Ah well, good luck to the lad. I haven't been paying too much attention during this close season to any movement.

Great bit of business in my opinion. Webster is a very good young defender with a great deal of potential, but so is Clarke and hopefully we'll invest the £750k wisely.

I fully agree with you, SB.
I think Clarke learned an awful lot from Webster (and Burgess) about how to play out from the back. He could not have had a better apprenticeship anywhere else imho. No other club could've provided regular first team action in front of big crowds with proper football-playing centre backs alongside him.

Clarke will be a tremendous player for us.

I am upset to lose Webster but Clarke is a very, very good second prize.
