Yeovile V Pompey
Pompey have a 100% record after 14 minutes..... 1 shot, 1 shot on target and 1 goal (Smith)
Yeovile have 4 shots (3 on target) and 1 goal.... thought Mugabi was still in Zimbabwe though.
Basically 1-1 after quarter of an hour.

Well, on a plus, at least a Pompey striker has found the way to the back of the net. Let's hope he can keep that up where it matters, in the league. If he does, then it's not been a complete waste of time.

Re: Yeovile V Pompey
Did anyone go to this match? I believe we took 270 or thereabouts.
The reason I ask is actually about the Yeovil substitute, who came on at 75mins, an 18-year-old by the name of Joe Lea. Although a product of the stripey's academy, he was born and raised in the better part of Hampshire, and was at school with my oldest. I'm interested to see how he played.

Goalie. A player who hasn't played this year, but will be needed for the next two games whilst Forde is with Ireland.
Defence. Three midfielders and a player in his first game back from injuries.
DMF. A player coming back from injury and a player who has looked OK in very limited game time and could be useful.
AMF. A player coming back from injury, a player with hardly any game time this year, and Bennett.
Attack. A player looking to play and gain confidence.
That's at least 5-6 players who will have really benefited from the match, and shows why this silly trophy has benefits to the club if Cook is allowed to select the players who will get the most out of it.
