Football chants.......

......I remember a few years ago, when we were in the Prem, a bloke called Barney (Forgot his name) from Fulham used to frequent this MB for some erudite chat about football at Foolham. It was a thankless task because Foolham had little to commend them and had the quietest fans I never heard. It came as a shock to me that they had perhaps developed a genius chant which involved a large mainly useless centre forward who for the 7th or 8th time had sent the ball high over the Away end......on the 10th occasion this song/chant lit up the Home end:

'When the ball hits your head, when you're sat in Row Z....it's Zamora......' Sheer genius - respect!

I remember him too, Pomp.....from the 606 MB. Got a kinda feeling his full name was Barney Ambrose.

I remember him too, Pomp.....from the 606 MB. Got a kinda feeling his full name was Barney Ambrose.

Yup....defo 606 MB - posted with us for some time. Strange sort of cove, someone here posted a reply on the Foolham board and reported that the only person who posted much there, was....you guessed it Barney! Maybe Mein Fuhrer has his posting moniker - he keeps a lot of obscure information! You may be right EG - could well have been Ambrose.....unless anyone else remembers differently! Cue for some smart @rse to remember his posting name, inside leg measurement and number of postings!
