The death as been announced of Arnold Palmer.
He was instrumental in bringing golf to the masses and I am sure will be sorely missed. Could this be a reason for the USA to play to "win for Arnie" in the upcoming Ryder Cup?

Re: RIP Arnie
I had the privilege of watching Arnie a couple of times in the mid/late 60's at the World Matchplay at Wentworth when he was in his prime. He had an amazing aura about him and he wowed the galleries with his golf, especially his iron play and putting, which were spectacular. The equipment and balls were very different then, but he gave the ball a helluva crack!
