darn, I shouldn't have added the extra sentence....
Philipians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Re: Alladyce gone
I guess the FA want to appear whiter than white (and rightly so in light of everything levelled at FIFA in the last few years).
And for Allardyce who has coveted this job for so long, this is a ridiculously naive way to bring about your downfall.

The man is a fool and has just reminded us all what is fundamentally wrong in football at the moment.

Never ceases to amaze me how people in the public eye can be so naive and unguarded with their comments. What a total ****** moron. He'll carry the regret to his grave.

Yeah, that's what I fear. There's a lack a credible options around if it must be an Englishman. The Cincinnati Kid wrote:dear oh dear what a total nob.

Btw, the Scott McGarvey involved in this affair, does anyone know if that's the same Scott McGarvey who played so brilliantly for Pompey in the mid-80s?

Certainly appears to be the same guy. Unless Man U had two Scott McGarveys.Pompey Gary wrote:Yeah, that's what I fear. There's a lack a credible options around if it must be an Englishman. The Cincinnati Kid wrote:dear oh dear what a total nob.

Re: Alladyce gone
Glen Hoddle with either Stuart Pearce or Alan Shearer as assistance, or both of them, that would suit me, GH was a good manager, just made a very ill judged and offensive comment and went all bl**dy spiritual on us !
At least with them three there would be some passion in the management structure.
Only other viable option i can see is Eddie Howe but it is a hell of a risk for him, young manager in first prem position, goes to England, does well he is a legend, does crap he harms his career immensely. I suspect he will want another larger prem job before he takes on anything like the national team, think it would do him good as well.

Re: Alladyce gone
I hear that The Telegraph are alleging that 8 current or previous Premier League managers may have profited from transfer dealings. Can't imagine anyone who might be on that list

big sam hasn't exactly helped his own cause either, saying that it was a silly mistake and that entrapment has won.
it was a ****** huge mistake and surely you must think of these things when someone asks you questions like that, or were you just too busy counting your money
