Of course, we don't know if Cook will be offered the post at Chesterfield. But, if he takes it, this will say something about how he regards his prospects at PFC.
My own guess, for what it's worth, is that he will not go back to Chesterfield. There still has to be a fair chance of promotion for PFC - much better than going back up north to a struggling side. He likes to take risks and also remains confident of his abililties (rightly or wrongly).
But he still runs the strong risk of dismissal by PFC in the summer if we fail to get promoted..............
If we have another year of the same with no promotion then personally i don't think it will be acceptable and the board have to make a decision.

Don't agree, when we were promoted to the prem our target was not to win it but simply to stay in the prem. This applies at all levels, there are teams in all leagues whose target is simply to stay up or finish top half or simply improve on the previous season.
Our target this season was promotion which would be an improvement on last season. Anything less and we have gone backwards.

Yes, he should be aiming for promotion, my point was being so bold and not achieving sets yourself up for a fall, falling once is fine, but twice ? I would suggest that it is not and i would hope that the board consider it the same way.Pompey1985 wrote:Promotion no messing was in response to what his target was last season.
