Man Flu
Has anyone noticed how the meaning of the phrase 'Man Flu' has changed over the years? Last week a colleague of mine had a couple of days of sick leave. On his return, he said that he had had Man Flu. Naturally, I replied "So there was nothing wrong with you?". Nobody in the office knew what I meant and the general consensus was that I'd been a bit rude. I couldn't even be bothered to explain my comment, so just gave a large sigh and carried on rocking back and forth, occasionally whacking my forehead on the desk.

Re: Man Flu
I strongly suggest that you change jobs, if the entire office think that man-flu is an actual illness. Feck sake.
I before E except when you run a feisty heist on a weird beige foreign neighbour
Re: Man Flu
I took a couple of days sick in November. I wrote it up as 'toxic super ebola' and it wasn't even questioned. Still sounds more convincing than Man Flu.

Good advice. You'd be surprised how many people just don't understand the term.Locky_McLockface wrote:I strongly suggest that you change jobs, if the entire office think that man-flu is an actual illness. Feck sake.
