Those who went to Meadow Lane

Post by uspompeyfan »

You sounded great, you deserve the memories that today will bring. PLAY up Pompey!!!!!

Kudos also to Notts County who let the celebrations go ahead, for contacting Pompey and asked what music etc... the club wanted in the event of promotion and for the cops who just watched it all happen and let the fans have their day.

A memorable day all round.

Although I've been to Forest's ground before I never realised how flipping adjacent Meadow Lane is. You could almost chuck an inflated kangaroo from one stadium to the other!

Nottingham itself was spookily quiet, very little non-football related traffic...but I guess it was a Bank Holiday.

Cambridge next game. Party atmosphere!
