That may help. I think it lists at least 19 of the S2 members. I'm one of them by the way; can't remember if I bought one or two of the 20. I haven't read the offer yet to decide whether yay or nay.

I am the missing person, got in late.

Don't need a PM from me. As the offer stands, it's a no from me. That's the syndicate and also my own share!

Looks like I'm in syndicate 2 , I confess to being in two minds here, although I haven't seen the 48 page dossier
Pros
This is someone we've heard of, with a known track record
He hasn't come in promising the world, he's given sensible targets
We know that decades of under investment means the ground has huge problems
He's promised £10 million of equity , not loans
The squad needs money if we're going to progress
Against
Nothing about what happens if he decides to sell , I'd like us to have first refusal
He's 75 , what happens when his sons inherit? will they just want their money back like Gregory's son
I like having our own destiny in our own hands

If I have to decide today, it's probably a yes but we'll see what comes out of the meeting etc.

OK read it now , why on earth would anyone (other than those of us for whom this isn't a financial decision) want to invest in this business. After 4 years , I hate League 2 football with a passion, I never want to see Morecambe, Accrington and others ever again but it seems our current ownership model will restrict us to mid table League 1 at best (we must be missing a trick here because Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich are all community owned clubs) The prediction for if we reach the championship are quite frightening. So something needs to be done to support the long term future of Portsmouth Football Club and in the absence of anything better it looks like Mr Eisner

I have to say now that I have received the "package", I have an uneasy feeling about the whole thing, especially after having read Ashley Brown`s comments.

The questions for me are "How far can we really go under the current format?" & "What is the TRUE situation regarding the work needed at Fratton Park?"

It seems odd that these two questions come to the fore at the same time as the Eisner offer appears. There also seems to be a number of vested interests shuffled to one side here as well.

Finally why is it that I do not completely trust American Businessmen.

Yes, the trick we're basically missing is that English clubs raise a lot less from sponsorship than the Germans, whilst paying their players substantially more.

Pretty much all the German clubs are fan-owned (with the exception of Bayer Leverkusen, owned by the Bayer pharmaceuticals company, and Wolfsburg, owned by VW, both originally being works teams) by law. I believe that Adidas and Audi both have stakes in Bayern, but only 9% each.

Hi chaps, been a while. I'll vote to take the deal with my 1/20th in syndicate 2 for what it's worth. Should we get the cash back then feel free to donate my share to a chosen local charity.
All the best,

Very interesting read.

Eisner sounds like a reliable character. His investment could send us to another level. His reservations to fan ownership worry me, however.

I still believe in the community model, fan ownership and would therefore decline the offer. I never want to go through what we have been through again.

Happy for a similar use of the funds as GreenFox has mentioned to a local charity should the share be sold.

This Yes/No has been bouncing backwards, forwards & sideways in my head. When I first heard the news it was "Yes" let's go for this, I heard a bit more and went to a "No". Then the infighting on the "Top Table" started to appear and I got further confused.

However after listening to Mr Eisner last night, its an 100% YES from me.
