Well they certainly chose the right person. I can just imagine Boycs being livid about this if it were true, great batter but probably the most selfish player in the history of the game.

Yes...Apparently W G even replaced the bails and declared himself not-out when he was bowled early on in his innings because "the crowd have come to see me".
Stop looking for solutions to symptoms and start identifying the disease.
