What's all this about rubbing balls with gritty tape

...?

That service has been available for years at Madame Frottement de Balle's emporium down Albert Road.

The best Aussie headline was "I've got a stickie near my dickie" by the NT Daily.

Love the way this is panning out...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/43580069

The comments at the bottom are hilarious. Grumpy cricket-types trying to say it's now like football. Grumpy Brits going on about the cheating Aussies. Grumpy Aussies saying the Brits are all heartless b@st@rds. Smiffy blubbing on camera is just about the worse thing he could do. The tears are not for regret - they're for all the lost opportunities. Also, had it been the England team caught in the act, I have absolutely no doubt the abuse from the Aussies would've been hurled tenfold.

As someone pointed out however, there is no way the rest of that team didn't know what was going on (three batsmen instructing bowlers what to do... really??) - and sacking Lehmann would've implied that it was a squad-wide practice. Smiffy took the brunt when they should've all stood up and shared the blame. Hiding behind him is disgraceful, even if he did volunteer to take the rap.

After years of listening to the Aussies sledging and arrogance, I'm more than amused about this. Whatever abuse thay get in 2019, it will be fully deserved.

Now, I'm off to Madame Frottement de Balle's gaffe...

Whole heartedly agree Mullins, they have been dishing out some disgusting abuse and claiming it as banter and crying when they get it back. Warner and the supporter is a prime example, he really can't take what he loves to dish out.
All deserve all they get. I just hope they now learn a wee bit of humility

Indeed. Hard to have any sympathy with any of them.

I’m amazed Starc and Hazlewood haven’t been questioned over this. There isn’t a seamer in the game who doesn’t give explicit instructions on how to treat the ball when its being tossed around the field. No way were they unaware.

...and another one...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/43603087

What's with the self pity - didn't see any of that humility on the pitch.

...just a blatant cheating tactic for which they were caught.

No doubt had they won the game and not been caught they'd have all congratulated each other on a magnificent, well earned victory.

Scumbags - no better than drug cheat athletes who stand on the podium waving a medal.

I mean, its not like they have asthma or anything.

Completely agree, three blokes don't just start doing this now. Much wider spread than the three banned and certainly must have been known about by Lehmann and at least some of the bowlers.

I think there's more to come out, Starc suddenly mysteriously out "injured" with a stress fracture-hmmm. Lehmann knew all along & I think was told to step down by CA.
Interesting comments by Stuart Broad about the recent ashes series, they couldn't get any lateral movement @ all whereas the aussies....
This lot have become toxic under Lehmann & it was an incredibly poor choice to appoint Warner of all people @ vice captain, a bully who I wouldn't be surprised to find ruled the roost over Smith.
They have reaped what they sowed & its funny to see the crocodile tears.

Thank you .

The flak I took for not expressing any sympathy for Irwin when he copped it .

The man made a living by pissing animals off ffs !!!

Got killed by a sting ray , an incredibly placid creature , until you ****** it off to much !

And yes , loving seeing the bastards squirm !!!
