Agree. When he first arrived he looked like another Ricky Holmes type and he terrorised a couple of RBs in earlier games. He has never really repeated that form which is a great shame.Locky_McLockface wrote: I find Kennedy odd. Having seen him play a couple of times, I though he looked a very good signing -

Re: Pompey's summer recruitment
So no development squad next season which means a bit more money for the 1st team squad.
Only two of the six academy players have been offered a 1 year professional deal - 6' 8" centre half Matt Casey and attacking midfield/striker Dan Smith.

His dad Tommy Widdrington has just been appointed as head of recruitment at Bristol Rovers. Watch this space as to where Theo ends up.Pompey Penguin wrote:Theo Widdrington has gone.Lost in Transportation wrote:DMs: Holding midfielder is a specialist role that needs filling. I think he has a good chance of still finding a place at NL / L2 level, and may yet work his way up a bit higher than that at his peak.
Everyone says David Beckham is not very intelligent. No-one says that Professor Stephen Hawking is a rubbish footballer!

No surprise that Nicke Kabamba leaves. If only players could be as good as their songs...

Re: Pompey's summer recruitment
Just for interest, Sunderland in L1 will be paying Jack Rodwell £2 million; more than half Pompey's likely playing wage bill. They will get a £35 million parachute payment from the PL, but most of that will be needed to service a £135 million debt. The madness continues.

The debt is apparently being written off as part of the takeover so they will be in a better place come next season.Pompey Penguin wrote:They will get a £35 million parachute payment from the PL, but most of that will be needed to service a £135 million debt.

It's going to be a busy summer or long season.
That midfield is seriously thin on quality.
