Ten years ago today.
Kanu scored a tap in.
That is all.
That is all.

Re: Ten years ago today.
No that is not all. Portsmouth Football Club on the 17th May 2008 won the FA Cup. A Cup which seven Premiership Clubs ( 2017/8 season) have never won, eight Premiership Clubs have not won for over 20 years. We forget how huge was the achievement.
Let us not forget how "Little Pompey" added another FA Cup trophy to add to the one achieved in 1939 and the consecutive First Division title wins just after the war!

Re: Ten years ago today.
This is why we should have stars on our jerseys like 'uddersfield...because we've won stuff.
And it's also great to have won stuff in the modern era rather than having to hark back to the days before most of us were even born.
btw...beating Man Utd away on the run in...brilliant!
Interesting stat (FACT) #4783.
We won the trophy scoring only 7 goals and having only 1 home game.
They say in the NFL....defense wins championships....we conceded only once in the tournament. Won every game 1-0 bar Plymouth.
Carry on.

At the end of the day, you cannot take away the fact that Pompey won the FA Cup in 2008. Really nothing else matters to most of us, read the record books!

It was a worthy win on the day too.

Yep, we won the cup which was something I didn't think we would ever do in my lifetime! I then watched Pompey a further four times at Wembley and who could have believed that could happen?BlueinPLtwenty wrote:At the end of the day, you cannot take away the fact that Pompey won the FA Cup in 2008. I would not swap that and what happened to us afterwards. If the powers that were at the time had not got us into such a mess, we would not have had the opportunity to become the largest (and best) fan owned club in the land!
Funny how things work out sometimes, innit!
