I think this is a VERY good signing. Exactly what we need in midfield.

Always a good sign when the fans of the club the player is leaving are all gutted to see him go. Burton fans in meltdown on Twitter.

I hope he lives up to his nickname 'Nails' that's what we needed.

At 26, another player moving into the prime years of his career. All being well, a great signing.

He looks like a very good signing - especially for L1.

In this case, I think this is a positive. Naylor's ability to play CB (along with Hawkins and possibly Thompson & Walkes (?)) removes the need for us to sign a fourth, second backup, CB.

In general, there is a need for specialists, but having reserves or Plan B options who can play multiple positions keeps the squad small and decreases the chances of players getting upset due to a lack of playing time. Those saved salaries can then be used to pay for a better player in a critical position, like Pitman last year and hopefully a "No. 10" this year.

Not saying it's a bad thing but I do think on occasions last season it contributed to KJ not knowing his best team on occasions.

Inclined to agree.

But hopefully KJ sees Naylor as taking on the experienced and decisive midfield role previously occupied by Michael Doyle?

That would surely anchor down one team position - barring injuries/suspensions. [According to one statistic, Naylor has picked up 11 yellow cards but no red.]
