Close season work at Fratton Park

Has anyone got info on what is being done this close season? Is it likely to increase capacity back towards 20K?

I understand this is because they've had to replace the sprinkler system, as the old one was constantly leaking.

I'll have to check on this. A friend of mine designs the irrigation for pretty much every team in the league - plus England, Wembley etc. Maybe the previous owners were too skint to buy his services?

You may be right although I don't remember any issues with the sprinkler system when I was working there until 2015...
